Hydrop - Electricity Generation

At Storage Drop, we’ve developed HyDrop, a one-of-a-kind energy storage system capable of drawing on renewable energy sources to provide green self-generating electricity. HyDrop underground vessels are easy to install becoming instantly operational while the concrete less installation allows for modularity and easy access. 

Applying an isothermal air compression process, HyDrop charges the underground air vessels using a liquid piston technology.

Liquid Piston gas compression uses a column of water to directly compress the air within a fixed volume chamber. Water jets dissipate thermal energy to cool the air during compression thus enabling minimal energy consumption. displaced by the water the compressed air vessels fills the underground air vessels.

Our sophisticated large diameter air vessels enclose multiple arrays of small interconnected containers thus enabling consistently high pressures at high volumes When discharged, the air cycles back into the liquid piston chambers. Expelled water is forced into the turbine which generates electrical power as long as the water flows.

After passing through the turbine, the water flows back into the water tanks until the next cycle.

The HyDrop solution is highly modular, with a low ground signature, low cost in dollars per kilowatt hour and high round trip efficiency. CoolDrop - Cooling Generation

Energy Storage is a critical component of the shift towards sustainable, renewable energy.

At Storage Drop, we’ve developed CoolDrop, a one-of-a-kind energy storage system designed to take advantage of gas compression, enabling minimum energy consumption. At night, the high-pressure gas liquids are stored in the CoolDrop system underground tanks. 
Then, in the daytime, this same compressed refrigerant is released.
Enabling simultaneous water cooling and electricity generation throughout the day.

To make the most of time-use tariffs, the charging phase of the work cycle is performed at night.

Gad Eisenkot - Chairman

Holds a B.A. in General History from Tel Aviv University and an MA in Political Science from the University of Haifa.

Eisenkot, the 21st Chief of Staff, served in the position from 2015 to 2019. He was appointed as director at Tzur Shamir Holdings and Villar. In addition, Mr. Eisenkot joined the Institute for National Security Studies as a senior research fellow.

Yona Fogel - Vice Chairman

Holds a master’s degree in psychology, specializing in organizational consulting. He completed his military service as a military psychologist with the rank of major.

Served for 13 years as CEO of Paz Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of its subsidiaries. Prior to that, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Leumi and head of the Banking Division. Today, Fogel deals, among other things, with international energy projects.

Shay Cohen - CEO

B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion. He has extensive experience in designing and developing renewable energy systems. During his career, he served in senior positions at Bright Source Energy, Intel and Swap Technologies – Energy Storage.

Jose Barak - Business Development

B.A. and M.A. in Mechanical Engineering, and for the past decade served as VP International Business Development of Braitsurs Energy. He has extensive experience in international renewable energy business activities in the US, China, Europe and more.

Zvika Even - Capital market and Finance

B.A. in Economics and MBA. 20+ years of experience in the Israeli capital market Owner of a company for finance management services and personalized accounting, accompanying companies in the process of purchasing and selling business activities and companies.

שי כהן - מנכ״ל ומייסד

תואר ראשון ושני בהנדסת מכונות מהטכניון. בעל ניסיון רב בפיתוח ותכנון מערכות אנרגיה. בעשור וחצי האחרון עסק בתחום האנרגיה. במהלך הקריירה כיהן בין היתר כמנכ”ל חברות תעשייתיות וסטרט- אפים.

יונה פוגל - סגן יו״ר

בעל תואר שני בפסיכולוגיה, התמחות בייעוץ ארגוני. סיים את שירותו הצבאי כפסיכולוג חיילי בדרגת רב-סרן. כיהן במשך 13 שנה כמנכ”ל קבוצת פז ויו”ד דירקטוריון חברות הבת שלה. לפני כן כיהן כחבר הנהלת בנק לאומי וראש החטיבה הבנקאית. כיום פוגל עוסק בין היתר במיזמים בינלאומיים בתחום האנרגיה.

גדי איזנקוט - יו״ר דירקטוריון

בעל תואר ראשון בהיסטוריה כללית מאוניברסיטת תל אביב, ותואר שני במדעי המדינה מאוניברסיטת חיפה. איזנקוט, הרמטכ”ל ה-21 כיהן בתפקיד בין השנים 2015-2019 סוף 2019 מונה לדירקטור בחברת צור שמיר אחזקות, והצטרף כעמית מחקר בכיר למכון למחקרי ביטחון לאומי. בינואר 2020 מונה לדירקטור בחברת וילאר.
